Dress up the traditional pork chop with a glossy, homemade sauce made from tart cider vinegar and sweet currant jelly.

  • 1 tablespoon(s) Butter
  • 2 tablespoon(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon(s) Pepper
  • 0 dash(es) Sugar
  • 1 cup(s) Water
  • 0.5 cup(s) Currant Jelly
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Vinegar

Directions


Melt margarine. Add flour and stir in salt, pepper and sugar. Add water gradually while stirring. Melt jelly into the sauce. Stir in vinegar. Serve over sliced chicken, turkey, or ham. Makes approximately 1 ½ cups sauce.
