Pumpkin seeds can be eaten raw or toasted, shell and all.  Store them in the refrigerator, or freeze them for longer storage.  One ounce of seeds has about 156 calories.

Directions


1.Wash the pumpkin seeds with water to remove all the Spread the seeds out on a paper towel to dry.

2.When seeds are dry, preheat oven to 250 degrees.

3.Put the seeds in a bowl and coat lightly with vegetable oil and a pinch of salt.

4.Spread the seeds on a cookie sheet, leaving room so they don’t overlap.

5.Bake for 45 minutes or until seeds are light brown.

6.Turn seeds over and bake for another 45 minutes.

7.When your seeds cool off you will have a treat that’s so healthy your parents will probably let you eat all you want!
