- 1 cup(s) Brown Sugar
- 2 Egg(s)
- 1 cup(s) Pumpkins
- 4 teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
- 0.5 cup(s) Shortening
- 0.25 teaspoon(s) Baking Soda
- 0.5 cup(s) Milk
- 1 cup(s) Walnuts
- 1 teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract
- 3 cup(s) Cake Flour
Directions
Cream shortening and slowly add sugar, eggs and pumpkin (or squash). Sift together flour, baking powder and soda; add alternately with milk to mixture. Fold in nuts and vanilla. Pour into 3 greased 8 layer cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cool and frost before serving.
