  • 0.25 cup(s) Applesauce
  • 0.5 cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 Egg(s)
  • 1 cup(s) Bran Flakes
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Water
  • 1.5 cup(s) Banana(s)
  • 1.5 cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon(s) Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon(s) Vanilla Extract
  • 0.5 cup(s) Nuts

Directions


Mix shortening and sugar; add egg, then bran; and mix thoroughly. Combine water and mashed bananas; add alternately with dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly; add vanilla and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees in a waxed paper line pan. 9 by 5” loaf pan cook for 1 hour. 6 by 3” loaf pans cook for ½ hour. In a bite size biscuit pan, cook for 15 minutes.
