Use the slider to multiply the batch
- 4 Onion(s)
- 3 Quart(s) Apple Cider
- 1.5 cup(s) Honey
- 1 tablespoon(s) Cider Vinegar
- 1.5 teaspoon(s) Cloves
- 24 pound(s) Spareribs
- 9 tablespoon(s) Cornstarch
- 0.75 cup(s) Water
Directions
Cut spareribs into 2 or 3 rib portions. Place ribs in pot. Add cold water to cover and sliced onion. Heat to boiling; reduce, cover and simmer 1 hour or until almost tender. Drain; cover and chill until ready to grill. Combine apple juice/cider, honey, cider vinegar, and ground cloves in a saucepan. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to liquids in saucepan, stirring to keep smooth. Bring to a boil; boil until thickened. Place ribs over hot grill. Grill 20 minutes, basting often, until fork tender. Turn occasionally.
**Boneless pork loin (4 4lb. loins) can be substituted for the ribs. Roast pork at 350 degrees F on a rack, for 2 to 2 ½ hours (Do not cook in water and onions). Baste with glaze every half hour.
