Make a flavorful snack or dessert to enjoy with this simple apple cider salad that can also be substituted with vegetables.

  • 3.5 cup(s) Apple Cider
  • 2 Apples
  • 0.5 cup(s) Carrots
  • 2 tablespoon(s) Gelatin
  • 0.5 cup(s) Celery
  • 0 dash(es) Salt

Directions


Combine gelatin with ½ cup cider and salt in pan. Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved. Add remaining apple cider and chill in refrigerator until partially set, not firm. Pour 1 cup gelatin in mold; Arrange slices of 1 apple on top. Pour a thin layer of gelatin over apples. Chopped remaining apple and combine with carrots and celery and remaining gelatin. Pour into mold. Chill until set. Remove from mold. Serve on a bed of greens with mayonnaise thinned with a little juice. Citrus fruits may be substituted for vegetables to make a fruit salad.
