Random Acts of Apples – “Coats for Kindness” Winter Clothing Drive

The 4^th Annual “Random Acts of Apples”, presented by Bishop’s Orchards will take place on Sunday, November 13, 2016, Worldwide Kindness Day.  Bishop’s will be hosting their first ever “Coats for Kindness” Winter Clothing Drive, while showing their gratitude with free apple cider, cider donuts, and apples to those who give so effortlessly. The cider, apples, and apple cider donuts are all Bishop’s Own products, grown and made in Guilford.

This year, we are switching it up a little bit.  Instead of choosing a single group, we are asking the shoreline community to partake in the day with us.  We are asking people to bring new and/or used winter coats, boots, hats, gloves and other accessories for children and adults. In exchange for their donation, we will provide them with refreshments that of course include our own: apples, hot or cold apple cider, and apple cider donuts.

Donated items will be distributed to local organizations that will be able to get them to people in need.  Given the time of the year, it only seems fitting to be able to provide some warmth and kindness to those in our local community who need it. The Bishop’s Orchards truck will be parked at the Little Red Barn on November 13, with drop off hours from 10am-4pm.
